Closed Stop any new oil and gas exploration licences being issued

We want the Government to take action to stop new licenses being granted for North Sea oil and gas exploration.

We believe issuing any new licences puts at risk the UK's climate commitments when we should be transitioning to a low-carbon economy.

We care more about having a future to live in than any short-term monetary gains that come at the expense of the environment.

We believe this is setting a bad example to children when the UK should be leading by example in the fight against climate change.

One campaign group has said that one 1.3 gigawatt windfarm would generate more than enough electricity to offset the gas that would be lost if no new licences are awarded.
