Rejected petition Councils to be held accountable for financial mismangement by inept officials

There are referendum rules in place for a reason. These are obsolete if they are increased at the govermemt discretion due to mismanaged councils. Officials should be held accountable, have a pay freeze/reduction. Residents should not have to face further increases due to incompetent officials

To not constantly revise council tax increase rules with regard to referendum. This has been increased from 3 to 5%. However at their discretion badly managed councils have special permission to increase further.

Councils should be held accountable for financial mismanagement, as would any private organisation. Residents shoulf not constantly face increases to cover for this. Freeze or reduce senior officials pay instead.
