Closed Make it a criminal offence to desecrate the Union Flag.

We want Parliament to pass legislation to punish anyone desecrating or disrespecting the Union Flag, which is our national flag.
Too often you see gangs burning our flag in public.
We would suggest a fine of at least £1000 and imprisonment of at least thirty days.

The Union Flag represents the people of the UK. To have it disrespected in public is an insult.
There have been some people in the UK who have publicly set fire to the Union Flag, showing contempt for the very country who allows them safe residence.
We want to give our police force the power to arrest these people.
