Closed Add languages to the UK Shortage Occupation List for Skilled Worker visa

As a recruitment business working in the STEM (Scientific, Technology, Engineering & Manufacturing) sectors, we believe that proficient language skills should be added to the UK Shortage Occupation List for obtaining a Skilled Work visa.

Many of our clients within the STEM sectors require native foreign language skills for international roles based in the UK.

As examples:
Lead Development Representatives for a Cyber Security company
Research Executives for a Scientific Market Research company

These roles are typically filled by international graduates, but they would be unable to continue after the end of their Post-Study Work visa as proficient language skills are omitted from the List for a Skilled Worker visa.
