We think the Government should remove the need for employers to apply for work permits for their staff under 16. This should make it easier for younger people to experience working without needing a permit, and could open up more opportunities for them.

We believe this is important because according to a report by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, young people who combine work with full-time education are more likely to perform better and earn more later in life.
