Closed petition Ban all private funding for political parties and fund through taxation

We think banning private funding for political parties would bring true democracy and rebuild Britain to serve all the people. We think that political parties should be funded only through tax, removing all individual and business donors.

A reform of UK political funding could reshape politics at a local, national and international level. We believe this could help return power to the people, that parties would strengthen alliances with their core supporters and more diverse interests, and that ordinary voters could have more say. We think that private money serves the richest minority, to the detriment of everyone else.
