Closed Provide financial support for home educators who provide development reports

Assist suitable, home educating parents and caregivers, who agree to submit regular development reports to local authorities for safeguarding purposes. By providing financial support reflective of current school funding (currently an average of £7460 per year).

Many children are spending more time than ever before away from parents during their early years due to financial constraints meaning parents have to return to work. This early separation from the family home can have mental and emotional effects for young children. I suggest offering funding to parents and caregivers who home educate, as after childcare costs are deducted from earnings, this could put households that home educate in a similar financial position.
