We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Rejected petition Scrap plans to strip GPs power to issue sicknotes

Immediately, scrap plans to strip GPs of the power to issue sick notes and make plans to put better safety measures for the people who are sick and vulnerable. Acknowledge GPs are better qualified to assess if someone is sick and can not work. Current plans are dangerous and put us all at risk.

More details

The government should provide the best according to the individual needs of the people, providing faster assessment, saving the people and the governments time and money with GPs sicknotes. Unqualified assessors have often gotten assessments wrong, costing people and government loss of precious time and finances. Where there is a person with no GP to provide sicknotes, then provide the process of having assessors determine the needs of that person.
Save the people and government time and
money.
