Petition Save Didcot's last remaining cooling towers for future generations
More details
In the early hours of Sunday 27 July three of Didcot power station's cooling towers were demolished. Watching these iconic structures being destroyed was reminiscent of the footage showing the Taliban destroying the Buddhas of Bamiyan. These towers are part of our industrial heritage, and to destroy them is to rob future generations of their chance to gain a window into our present, and their past. We, the undersigned, petition the government to protect the three remaining towers from destruction.
