The New Type 26 Frigates to be named after the Type 12 Frigates.

The Type 12 design was one of the most prolific Frigates that the Royal Navy had post world war 2. The design spawned the Type 41 & Type 61 Frigates and the Leander class Frigates. A fitting tribute to this class would be to re use its names on the latest generation of Frigates ships like HMS Plymouth, HMS Londonderry, HMS Tenby, HMS Rothesay. are names from all over the United Kingdom.
