Rejected petition Equation Sheets for GCSEs permanently for 3 separate/triple science students.
There are too many equations expected to be remembered by 15/16 year old. There are 4 different types of equations for biology, 23 for physics, 27 chemistry and higher maths+other subjects; all expected to be remembered.
Make equations sheets permanent for all students moving forward indefinitely.
More details
Benefits students and eases stress during exams. Students can focus on subjects more intensely rather than giving up early because they can not remember them.
Students are most likely not going to be using any of the equations later in life.

Why was this petition rejected?
We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.
We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.
The Department of Education (DfE) has now told Ofqual that students taking exams in 2025, 2026 and 2027 will not be expected to recall all the usual formulae and equations in GCSE mathematics, physics and combined science.
The longer-term expectations will be confirmed after DfE’s Curriculum and Assessment Review.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
