Petition Increase the installation of solar panels on commercial rooftops and carparks.
We think the Government should introduce legislation so that outdoor car parks of a certain size include solar carports and EV charging facilities, similar to a law already passed in France. We also want the government to make it easier for commercial premises to install solar panels on rooftops.
More details
We believe that encouraging the installation of solar panels on commercial rooftops and in large car parks would reduce the need to use greenfield land for new solar farms and in doing so could reduce complaints from neighbours about developments.
