We call on the Government to conduct a review of the Legal Expense Insurance industry. We think the review should look into how Legal Expense Insurance companies work with related Law Firms to handle claims.

The review should also consider how the Financial Ombudsman Service set up by Parliament under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA 2000) handles complaints.

We think the current system often doesn't work well for claimants.
