Closed petition: Introduce differentiated energy pricing, tax breaks and a Transition Energy Fund

We urge the Government to establish a two-tier energy pricing system which requires lower tariffs for renewable energy and higher tariffs for fossil fuels. We also call the Government to establish a Transition Energy Fund which support vulnerable households and finances renewable infrastructure.

We also urge the Government to introduce tax breaks for businesses investing in green technologies and discounts for consumers using certified renewable energy. We believe differentiating energy costs based on the source of production can accelerate the transition to clean energy. We also believe incentivising renewables and penalising fossil fuels will promote sustainability, reduce emissions, and support a low-carbon economy.
