Closed petition: End public funding for faith schools

Stop taxpayer funding for faith-based schools. Instead, ensure all state schools are secular, where we believe children from all backgrounds can learn together without division by religion or culture.

In our view, faith schools create separation between children based on religion and culture, which we believe makes it harder for immigrant families to integrate into British society. We think this harms social unity and limits opportunities for children to build friendships with those from different backgrounds. Let’s invest in education that unites us all and helps build a fairer, more inclusive future for Britain.
