Rejected petition Assisted dying referrendum
I would like any changes to the law on assisted dying to be held as a referendum, as I believe it is too important for this to be decided in parliament alone.
More details
A referendum allows the voice of the public to be heard directly on an issue that deeply affects individuals and families. Assisted dying is a profoundly personal matter, and decisions regarding it should reflect the values and beliefs of the society as a whole. Engaging the public through a referendum reinforces the democratic process.
