We want the Government to make enhanced DBS checks a legal requirement for ALL employees who come into contact with children and vulnerable persons.

We think enhanced DBS checks should be a legal requirement for ALL companies who work with or have contact with children and vulnerable persons, including retail workers. We believe there are too many people who have been questioned by police or have attended court to be tried for conviction for suspected offences against children and vulnerable people. There are concerns that they could then gain work in jobs with access to community buildings.

We think this should not be allowed.
