Closed petition: Ban plastic packaging and use of PFAS in all food-related products

Ban all food-based businesses from using plastic packaging on all food products, particularly those involving the heating of or high levels of friction within plastic packaging. We think the use and distribution of non-stick cookware containing PFAS must also be banned.

We have concerns about the long terms effects on human health of PFAS and microplastics. All members of the public must be entitled to access to safe clean drinking water and food products regardless of economic or social status. We think that currently little legislation is being passed to mitigate the impact of these chemicals.
