Closed petition: Fine food delivery companies that fail to ensure their cyclists use lights

We believe that some cyclists who work for gig-economy food delivery companies are failing to use functioning lights on their bicycles. We think this could pose a significant danger to the riders and companies are not doing enough to enforce the use of illumination.

We believe that unless there is a financial incentive for these large companies to mandate compliance with the use of lights and other safety equipment, they are unlikely to change practice. Meanwhile, riders, motorists and pedestrians could be put at risk.
