Closed petition: Review medical care for those with temporomandibular disorders

People suffering can find they are passed from dentist to doctor without effective treatment, and that care guidelines aren't being followed. Many people battle for years to access the right care.

We’d like for there to be a review to help ensure doctors have a more serious approach to this health condition. It can affect many people, including younger people and older people. People shouldn’t have to wait years to have results. People shouldn’t have to deteriorate due to waiting so long or not being heard. Doctors need to acknowledge the symptoms and send referrals, this doesn’t seem to always happen and it can be dismissed. We’d truly like this to be more recognised and for there to be more training. We believe England doesn’t know much about TMDs.
