Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

Fit notes are issued if a health condition or disability affects a persons capability to work for longer than 7 days. Fit notes are based on an assessment by a healthcare professional, who decide the length of a fit note based on their clinical judgement.

If a health condition or disability affects capability to work for longer than 28 days, a Work Capability Assessment can be carried out.
