I call on the Government to create a new body that is empowered to record noise levels, provide accurate records of noise levels, and enforce noise nuisance laws across the UK.

For years, I've suffered from neighbours playing loud music and fighting. Many of my audio recordings and written reports were deemed as unreliable evidence, and did not show the full impact on my mental and physical health when suffering this. From past experience, I found the local councils and police were limited in the action they could take at the time. This meant I had to tolerate the noise until the neighbour decided to stop their behaviour, which can be all night.
