Rejected petition Allow British Citizens abroad (beyond 15 years) to vote in General Elections

Allow British Citizens abroad to vote in General Elections regardless of their address history. British Citizens should have an unlimited right to vote in Democratic Elections in the UK. Losing a right to vote is disempowering and disenfranchising.

More details

British Citizens living abroad remain deeply connected to the UK, representing our values globally, being directly affected by political decisions made in the UK, especially on issues like trade, foreign relations & international policy. Giving Citizens back their right to vote in General Elections ensures their voices are heard & strengthens our democracy, no matter where they live or how long they have lived abroad. Every Citizen should be able to participate in Democratic processes in the UK.
