To set up an inquiry into the rape gang scandal. It is obvious that this is a national issue and that there was collusion and institutional cover ups at local and potentionally national level.

The local inquiries, whilst useful, do not have the required powers to force attendance, or investigate the national implications of this issue. These operated on a national basis and the failure to accept the evidence of the victims and the failure from local and national politicians, police and others mean that a national inquiry is necessary
