Rejected petition children have days off school for mental health issues & bullying & depression
i believe children who are struggling with mental health issues , depression and being bullied should be allowed to have “mental health days” where they can leave school or be off school because it’s not fair for them to be crying in the bathroom & being told they cannot leave.

The Equality Act 2010 protects children from discrimination based on disability, which includes mental health needs.
Schools should authorise absences for mental health reasons, just as they do for physical illness.
The "Summary of responsibilities where a mental health issue is affecting attendance", which was published by the Department of Education, states that schools can make reasonable adjustments for children who are suffering with their mental health:
