Rejected petition Call for a Motion of No Confidence
It has been made very clear to the whole of the UK that the labour government and Keir Starmer have not fulfilled the promises that they intended in the first place to try and sway us into voting for the labour government.
More details
We know that the petition by Michael Westwood about calling a general election wasn’t fulfilled as the Labour government was obviously not going to sign off on this. But if we could debate in parliament about calling for a no confidence vote this may change things and something needs to be sorted.
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about honours or appointments.
We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers to be sacked or for a vote of no confidence.
If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
We also cannot accept a petition that has the same or a very similar ask to a petition that is already open. The petition: Call a General Election https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700143 is still currently open.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
