Rejected petition Publish proposed amendments for public scrutiny

Parliament should publish the text of any proposed amendments to legislation so that the public can see precisely what is being voted on

More details

The wording of bills going through parliament is public knowledge and this is updated with any successful amendments. For transparency and public scrutiny all amendments should be visible so we can see exactly what the MPs were voting on, word for word. Currently unless an MP or the Media present chooses to publish the wording of an amendment the public only has the word of an MP about what it contains. The full wording being available will help build trust in parliament
