Many local councils are undermining our democracy by attempting to prevent the local council elections scheduled for May 2025. This cynical manoeuvre,driven by those eager to retain power, severely weakens the foundation of our representative system.

I would like Parliament allow local council elections to prevail in May 2025 and thus prove to the electorate that they are indeed living in a representative democracy and that parliament will protect our democracy regardless of who’s in power, or who’s trying to gain power.
