We think unregulated pricing creates an uneven playing field. We think unscrupulous mechanics may inflate labour costs and mark up parts excessively, taking advantage of consumers' lack of knowledge. We think this harms individual consumers and undermines trust in the automotive repair industry.

There is currently no standard, regulated pricing system for car repairs, which we think leaves the customer at the mercy of varying garage price policies.
