Rejected petition: Create a public register of domestic abuse offenders

Rejected on

Create a register like the sex offenders register to make it easier for people to know whether or not they are having a relationship with someone who has been convicted of domestic abuse and all charges relating.

We currently have Claire’s law, however, a lot of people either think they don’t need to check or the thought doesn’t pop into their head and for some, that’s to late and can have disastrous consequences. A register like this will push offenders faces and names out their more and will * hopefully* prevent domestic violence from happening and deter people from committing these offences.
