Rejected petition: Make labeling of Halal and Kosher meat compulsory.

I would like the Government to make it ilegal for oulets to sell Halal or Kosher meats without clear labeling to state that it is indeed properly certified Halal or Kosher.

I would like to draw attention to the general public on the different ways in which animals are slaughtered in this country and indeed abroad. I am sure that the general public are buying meat blindly and should be informed in accordance.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
