Rejected petition Stop The Stoke-On-Trent City Council Merger.

We would like to halt the planned merger of Stoke-On-Trent City Council with both the Newcastle-Under-Lyme Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

More details

Due to the large debts incurred by the council of the city of Stoke-On-Trent and its overall performance as a council, We do not feel it is appropriate to merge this under performing council with ourselves and have our residents saddled with their short-comings.
To add to this, the stark difference in demographics, population and geography simply make this merger completely dumbfounded.
Our Local Councillors seem to be in favour of the merger against the will of the people they represent.
