Rejected petition Repeal the New Law Restricting British Citizenship for Refugees
We, the undersigned, call on the UK Government to reconsider and repeal the newly introduced law that restricts refugees who enter the UK illegally from obtaining British citizenship even they are not committed any crime. Why This Law Must Be Repealed:

under the 1951 Refugee Convention to protect those fleeing persecution, regardless of their mode of entry. Penalizing refugees for how they arrive contradicts these commitments. And Preventing refugees from gaining British citizenship leaves them in limbo, limiting their ability to contribute to society, work, and build stable lives.
