Rejected petition Request for Open Sky Cremation in accordance with Hindu Religion
Currently, cremations take place in enclosed structures, such as crematoriums, I respectfully urge you to consider making provisions for open-air cremation sites where individuals like myself can have their last rites conducted in a manner that respects our religious and spiritual beliefs.
More details
I kindly request that your ministry review current policies and explore the possibility of establishing designated open-air cremation sites for those who wish to follow this sacred tradition. I would be grateful for an opportunity to discuss this matter further and to work collaboratively toward a solution that respects religious freedoms while maintaining public and environmental safety.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.
We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.
It is already legal for open-air cremations to take place, and it is for individual crematoria to meet the required legal standards in order to carry them out.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
