Rejected petition Clarity about funding via the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund

We are calling for clarity for families about the continuation of funding via the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund for much needed support for adopted and SGO children, as well as a permanent fund for therapeutic support, which would be protected from repeated funding negotiations.

More details

This uncertainty is agonising for children and families who rely on the support. We are very concerned that we still do not know from the government if the ASGSF will continue and even if it does there are now likely to be gaps in provision due to the build up of demand for our social services colleagues.
