Rejected petition I am asking for the ban of using the name of Jesus Christ as a swear word on TV.
The use of Jesus Christ as a swear word is deeply offensive to Christians. I am asking that its use a swear word be banned from television
.
More details
The use of Jesus Christ as a swear word is extremely offensive to Christians and there is no reason for its use apart from offending Christians. Having this phrase on television encourages the use of it in every day use, which encourages the normalisation of it. To many people in the UK the name of Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour and to hear it as a swear word is deeply disturbing to all Christians. There is no justification for it to be used as a swear word
