This is a petition for all to sign for the removal of the new LED street lighting, already several have been installed plunging streets into near darkness.

It's not only a matter for health and safety but also dangerous for the general public, especialy the young, old and vulnerable.

Barnard Castle is currently a safe place that enjoys a low crime rate, the darkness that is descending on the town will attract criminal elements from elsewhere.

Please share and lets get Durham County Council to replace them with the original lighting, or at least turn up the LEDs to a safer level.
