🔹 Mental health – 70% say the PIP assessment process worsens their mental health. (Disability Benefits Consortium, 2023). Disabled people 3x more prone to suicide, with PIP stress a key factor to mental decline. (University of Glasgow, 2022)
🔹 Proposed changes strip disabled people of independence – The replacement of cash with refund schemes, deliberately create barriers to aids, and add needless bureaucracy
