We call on the UK Government to provide a 24/7 death certification, burial, and repatriation service to prevent delays during weekends, holidays, or bank holidays. In urgent cases, especially those involving religious, cultural, or humanitarian needs, we think on-call emergency support is essential.

We think timely arrangements reduce emotional distress and allow grieving families to observe important traditions with dignity and peace of mind. For families needing to return loved ones to their country of origin, we think swift repatriation is not only a logistical necessity but also a deeply meaningful act of respect.
