Rejected petition Allow the public to vote no confidence in the government

Allow the general public to have a say and vote no confidence in the government.

More details

The public do not have a say mid term on the government. The government was voted by the people but if the government is failing and u-turning on their agenda then the people should have their say. The government is in power to serve the people if the government is no longer serving in the interest of the people then a majority vote from the people should call a vote of no confidence by the people.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about honours or appointments.

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for a vote of no confidence in the Government. This is set out in the Committee's standards: https://petition.parliament.uk/help

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
