Rejected petition Lower the voting age to 16
I want the government to lower the voting age to 16 in all constituencies in the United Kingdom.
I want them to also see that 16 year olds are responsible for their actions as well as their vote.
More details
Lowering the voting age to 16 is a necessary and progressive step toward a more inclusive and representative democracy. Young people at 16 are already entrusted with many important responsibilities in society, and it is both logical and fair that they be granted the right to vote and shape the future they will inherit.
Also Scotland and Wales voting age is 16 however England is not so what is the real difference between our great nations.
