The Uk has a right—and a duty—to protect its territorial waters uphold its immigration laws, preserve confidence in a secure border system. The constant arrival of those trying to enter the UK unlawfully by sea, aided by criminal groups, represents a breach of immigration law, risk to life, security, and the rule of law.
