Rejected petition Stop Environmental Destruction of Minster Marshes and Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve

We call on the Government to intervene urgently the environmental threat posed by the proposed converter station and substation development and the cabling through Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve. This project risks irreversible damage to rare habitats, protected wildlife, and local communities.

Internationally important for biodiversity. The area includes a RAMSAR site, SSSI, Special Protection Area (SPA), Special Area of Conservation (SAC), and National Nature Reserve (NNR). Despite this they are going to build on the site:-
Massive infrastructure: A converter station approx. 100 ft tall over 22 acres.
Environmental degradation: Wildlife loss, increased pollution, run-off into the River Stour etc
Cultural and social impact: Loss of historic archaeology, mental/physical health concern.
