Since 2022, the UK has offered humanitarian protection to Ukrainians via the Ukraine Scheme and its subsequent extension. We think this shows the UK recognises it is unsafe to return. Yet, those seeking ASYLUM are routinely refused.

We believe this contradiction creates a LEGAL PARADOX and leaves Ukrainian nationals in a state of deep uncertainty. It could raise concerns about the consistency of the UK’s protection policies.
