By holding accountable those who incite violence or hatred through faith, we protect all religions and promote mutual respect in a diverse society

The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 enhances penalties for religiously aggravated offences, the Equality Act 2010 prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion or belief, and the Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 criminalises inciting religious hatred.
