Rejected petition: To increase Special Educational Need and Disabilities (SEND) school settings

Rejected on

I am starting this petition to beg this Government to put more budget into the severely underfunded SEND system. We need more spaces in current specialist schools, new schools opening, or at the very least a SEN hub at every mainstream primary school.

Like many others across the country, my non-verbal autistic child is without a school placement, because there is a lack of specialist school settings. He cannot go to a mainstream school and there are no specialist schools available. As parents, we are now faced with the prospect of having to homeschool which is not fair let alone financially feasible.
