Closed petition Fund councils to subsidise more mobility items for disabled and older people
We want the Government to make mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs more affordable for disabled and elderly people by providing funding for more subsidies. Everyone deserves the freedom to move and live independently.
More details
We think too many people are stuck at home, unable to get to the shops, doctors, or see loved ones because they can’t afford a mobility scooter. It’s heart-breaking and unfair. With better access, people could stay independent, connected, and live with dignity — not isolation.

Explainer
Westminster Hall debates give MPs an opportunity to debate a topic of their choice, and receive a response from the Government.
They are a way to:
- raise awareness of an issue
- seek to influence government policy
- put the views of backbench MPs, political parties, and the Government on record.
They do not involve a vote on a particular action or decision.
