Driving whilst holding a mobile device in a vehicle can seriously distract drivers. We believe this problem is getting worse despite being illegal. We believe drivers who are guilty of using a mobile phone whilst driving should be given an automatic 1-year driving ban.

We believe deaths and serious accidents will only get worse on our roads if this problem continues to escalate. The number of close calls that can happen with drivers using their mobile phones is astonishing.
