Introduce legislation that makes it a criminal offence to enter the United Kingdom illegally (by any means) with a statutory prison sentence of 10 years. Early release will be available at 5 years for those that agree to return to their country of origin

We need to stem the tide of illegal entry to the United Kingdom and this will only be achieved by criminal prosecution of those that do so.
We must in parallel provide a legal route for genuine refugees and this should be done by having asylum application processes in place at UK Embassies.
