Rejected petition Keep 5-year ILR path for those already on Graduate Route visas in the UK

I’m on a Graduate Route visa, working legally and contributing to the UK. I chose the UK before ILR rules changed. It’s unfair to change the rules midway. Please exempt current Graduate Route holders from the 10-year ILR rule and keep the original 5-year path.

More details

I am on a Graduate Route visa, working legally, paying taxes, and contributing to the UK economy. I chose to build my future here before the new 10-year ILR rules were announced. I ask the Government to exempt current Graduate Route holders from the new rule and allow us to keep the original 5-year path to settlement, recognizing our contributions and commitmen

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do as time on the Graduate Visa does not count towards Indefinite Leave to Remain.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
